Where did you grow up?

I was born in New Orleans, LA and lived there until my family moved to Katy, TX after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. I spent the rest of my years growing up in Katy.

What high school did you attend?

I went to Seven Lakes High School.

Why did you come to UT?

I chose UT because of its strong CS program, proximity to home, in-state tuition, and great campus community.

Why are you majoring in CS?

I’m majoring in CS because it is a broad field and very versatile in terms of its applications for different sectors. There are many ways you can specialize as a CS major.

Why are you in this class?

I want to learn more about OOP since it’s the backbone of most of anything we do in terms of programming. This class also helps me brush up my C++ skills.

What are your expectations of this class?

I hope I can develop a better understanding for robust software design and good testing practices.

How much C++ do you already know?

I’ve worked with C++ before in Gheith’s OS class, so I think I have a good understanding about handling low level details. However, I wish to learn more about how C++ builds higher level abstractions and how it compares to languages such as Java and Python.

What made you happy this week?

As wrong as it sounds, finally starting the semester has made me slightly happier as I can settle into a new routine.
